Using Fedora RPMS on 9.0?

How safe is it to use Fedora rpms on Red Hat 9.0? I was able to upgrade
using Fedora httpd-2.0.47-10.i386.rpm and perl-5.8.1-92.i386.rpm by
following through on all the dependancies. It seemed to go through fine,
but afterwards Vim complained that it couldn't find the Perl libraries. So
I am guessing that if Vim had problems other programs will also.
