NO! I tested it to see what it would do with files with blanks in the name. Lo and behold, not only did it bugger up that file, I now have a lot of files that start with "--" in their file name.
Sorry 'bout that. Musta grabbed the wrong version. Remove the -- after "echo". If you have filenames that begin with '-n ', '-e ' or another echo option, you're buggered. Any other filename should be fine, including those with spaces.
