Mot sure what you mean "with no warnging". The UTF-8 thing has been
around 7.3, and has been the subject or many threads on this list, and
I guess others. Should Redhat be at the forefront of such changes,
which has been how they operated since the beginning, or follow the
dog, so to speak?
