I am not sure if this is worth the trouble. There are tools now that reformat your PHP code to whatever style you prefer. I do not think it is going to help the authors to be more motivated to contribute more and better classes. Coercing them to use a certain style just to get better accepted has proven to be counterproductive to the growth of the community. PEAR is the example of that. There are many valuable programmers that will not bother to contribute to PEAR just because it mandatory to use their style to contribute. Think for instance of Smarty. Andrei and Monte use their own style and have refused to contribute Smarty to PEAR because it is not worth the trouble to converting their long time personal style, that they use consistently. Nobody needs to use a specific style to contribute to PHP Classes but I do not think it would be fair to make the usage of a specific style have a great weight to favour those that use that style against those that do not use it. >>I have added a consistency rating but I am not sure how will this rating >>will weight in a overall rating. >> >>This is not yet decided but utility will weight most of the overall >>rating. Splitting in multiple polls would probably be awkward and I am afraid most people would not fill it all the way. -- Regards, Manuel Lemos Free ready to use OOP components written in PHP http://www.phpclasses.org/ ------------------------ Yahoo!
