Trevor's comment is the first time I heard of an iron-based process, so I googled and found this. Fascinating, but too much to read in a month! I'm glad the alternative process I'll use most is much less complicated -- making palladium prints. The platinum/palladium on gold backed vellum I made for this week's gallery was more complicated, done at a workshop, but just about everything was already at hand. But speaking of buying equipment, I've decided to get a scanner so that I can scan my palladium prints rather than take digital photos of them.
