Actually I hardly used this particular one because there was a paying one
nearer the shops and I always paid here because of the penalty for
defaulting. It was the same for the voluntary one but no one checked. It
is
now the same as the main car park with parking police visiting to check
tickets that you buy and display.
we still see fruit and vegetables with honour payment boxes here, though the
red public telephones boxes I grew up with in the 60's with the honour boxes
attached to them have all been gone for many years now..
