These leaves, close-up can be very intricate. They're rather thick and waxy on the side that receives the sun, and very sinewy/webbed on the bottom. This perspective is of the bottom, but the leaf, which is open about 120-dergees, is positioned such that the left half is reflecting light while the right is illuminated from behind by the same lamp.
