The PhotoForum members' gallery/exhibit space was updated APR 17, 2010. Authors with work now on display at: http://people.rit.edu/andpph/gallery.html include:

Emily Ferguson - Early spring sailing on Buzzards Bay

I look at this as a very nice scenic photograph of the sails framed by the ship. I like the contrast of the elements. The chain is a nice touch as it draws the eye to the sails.

Yoram Gelman - Still in Context

It is amazing how sometimes accidents can lead to great results. I like this composition very much. The out of focus diner adds a human element. The frost says humid to me but that comes from having that experience. If you had been making this on purpose you might have left more space on the right but that is minor.

         Jim Snarski - Great Blue

A terrific capture, you were certainly in the right place at the right time. The color contrast is very good.

Hans Klemmer - Elmer and his Toolbox

At first, as was previously mentioned, I saw an interesting composition of elements found in most old workshops. The projected image adds a personal touch that was a bit subtle, interesting though.

John Palcewski - Chinatown, New York

This photograph shows the energy that always seems to be around in Chinatown, New York. The contrast of all that motion and the lottery poster is a great touch.

         Russ Baker - Amy

A nicely made glamour photograph, well lighted and composed. The pose and expression of the model is very pleasent. The hand position is very well chosed.

David Dyer-Bennet - Trees on hillside, Lilydale Regional Park

I agree that you chose the right time of day to photograph this scene. I like the feeling of emerging Spring with the touch of green.

Guy Glorieux - Getting the show on the wall (a bit of self-promotion)

First, congratulations on the museum exhibit. There is nothing like the feeling of seeing your work on the wall of a gallery or museum. I like the point-of-view and the negative spece. Sometimes it is fun to see the process.

Andrew Davidhazy - All in a day's work

Such a great slice-of-life image, fun and real. It does make me wonder if someone would be able to pull out a 52 year old computer file in 2062 and just show it like this:-) What did the author buy with their $25?
