well alberto post was the reason for telling my story too...
2 weeks ago I was inited in a Greek Special Forces Resewrves Exercise... I knew some guys of the comittee and initially I would setup a techincal booth (Tacticla flashlights, but thsi is anotehr story)
Sometime down the first day, I left the booth and took the initiative to photograph part of the action...A took pictures of half the "chalenges" and it was a real LESSON in event photography....
Changing light from bright Mediteranean sun to overcast, building shades, green pool water, blownhighlights at the rapelling tower*, moving subjects, running and photographing in the woods capturing the "patrol element ambush & extraction"....hell it was 12 hours of footwork! And id not photograph the night part (for light discipline reasons aminly LOL)
* hey i found a neat trick to this challenge....use matrix metering and divide the frame in 2. One half has the tower in the other the sky....
Now for pics....unless I upload them in my photoalbum, you will wait for the Reservist club to laod on their website....
============================================= No matter what, CHEER UP MY FRIENDS! Life is too precious to jump the other side of the fence... kostas papakotas / clenched teeth photography http://clenchedteethphoto.multiply.com |
