We think it has to do with the lens (the assembly is solid) (a Rodenstock - forgot to scheck what model) but there our knowledge ends. Make sure you have the condenser inserted the right way up - and that it *does* have a condenser lens assembly in the enlarger head! Aside from that and using the appropriate focal length lens (50mm for 35 mm film etc) that's all that comes to mind! karl
