Complimentary is somewhat like congratulationary.

Being pedantic (it's the teacher in me) the complementary colour pairs are....

Primary - complementary:
red - cyan
blue - yellow
green - magenta


If you mix any one pair, you get white, e.g. cyan = blue + green, therefore red + cyan = red + blue + green

But then, you all knew that!
