I expect a bigger image would overcome part of the problem with the focal length as others have mentioned. I LOVE night shots, though having got lost at night on those highways - without a roadmap - and with a plane to catch (missed) I get shivers and break into a sweat looking at this image. It also makes me want to phone up Anitas relatives and abuse them for the dodgy directions they gave me to get to the airport. Pixellation (banding/blocking) in the deep shadows spoils this a tad. - The 129kb image had a 5kb thumbnail embedded in it, and stripped of metadata, colour space information, Apple & Adobe tags, colour profiles, weblinks and thumbnail it reduced to 89kb Overall impressions of the gallery - getting rid of the non-image stuff in images lets you get a higher quality image uploaded! No actual image data is lost in the stripping process, no pixels are harmed, though loud brash signatures from The Corporations are hastily escorted to the exit and told to shove off. personally.. the one I like the best - Mr Strevens shot for a clean, crisp image vies with Mr Stempels for its mood karl
