I haven't used any of the software you mention but my reading of the
articles on line on the subject suggests that the stitching occurs
horizontally with images.
So, if you are trying to make a tall, vertical image, then you might
try rotating all of the images 90 degrees and re-stitch in that orientation.
The other possibility that occurs to me is one of a limit on the
vertical dimension of the output file. Is there some parameter that
allows you to set the dimensions of the stitched image? Perhaps it
is defaulting to a too small number.

Hi!
I couldn't find any reasonable references about PanoTools/Hugin/PTStitcher
, so I ask the forum:
What am I doing wrong, if the output image (hopefully panorama of 3
separate images) is only one of these 3, although the programs do a lot of
computing and I give a lot of input into different interfaces?
In every step it has logical and self-explaining dialogues and
check-menus, which I fill in.
I am pleased with the match-points it creates.
But the result is simply one of these component files.
Might the reason be in orientation? I try to stitch 'portrait'-oriented
files.
Although I guess it shouldn't matter.
Or - alternatively - could anyone suggest any other panorama creating
freeware?
