My county fair is also a big 10 day thing with many photographs
offered.. There's a whole separate building for kids - crafts and
arts, and a whole separate jurying procedure for them.
I've never gotten involved - offered a couple times to jury, but
never been accepted. One best of show one year. Nice ribbon. There
are a lot of submissions but I don't think it comes near 1000.
