I was wondering if anyone here has experience and an

picking up a couple new toys. I've noticed quite a
market on the Internet for refurbished puters. My
suspicious side insists they're cursed lemons and will
always be so. The wallet says, "Hey, these guys
receive more detailed attention than their mass
produced brethren...AND they're cheaper!" I've seen
some pretty tastey deals. Thoughts?

I can't tell where you are from your address but before buying a refurb I would look at Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc and Tiger Direct, New egg, CompUSA, Best Buy, etc for new......

I have seen some very attractive prices for some nice laptops in ads in the Sunday newspapers and on the 'net.

And as my Dad once told me, "There is a difference between cheap and inexpensive....."

There, now you have my $0.02
