Guy, The 3800 is a 4800 without the roll feed and has a length limitation of 22". Epson discovered that there is a huge market that doesn't need and doesn't want to pay for banner prints. Folks who do a lot of panaramas will need the 4800. Besides, Epson makes their profit on the inks.
