I've been using the 10D at ISO 800 for a couple years now and not had any
problems with noise (grain). Anyone have any experience with the 5D or 1Ds
Mark II above ISO 800? (any comparison between the 10D and the others at
any ISO?)

Right now the 10D. Fantasizing over the 1Ds Mark II (16.7Mp) though and
out-of-my mind considering what the medium format digital 645's can do (is
there one with a ISO of 3200?). I rarely go over 16x20 prints though so the
5D or 1Ds should do the trick.

Yes, I shoot with 5D in a singer show ISO 800 & 1000 with very good results.
With my G5 I get a lot of noise in this range.
