Hi Gang............ I am looking at getting a CIS System from MIS. I will be wanting to change my Epson 1280 to a pigment printer. What throws me is.............. I usually print on Semi Gloss , Luster or Pearl type paper. All the info on their web site leads me to believe that you can only print on matt paper when using their CIS pigment inks. I called and talked to a guy on their Tech Line and he told me if I ordered the pigment ink and substituted the photo black for the ink that is normally shipped with it I would be ok............. How can just changing the black ink make it ok to print on Semi Gloss/Pearl/Luster type papers? I use a lot of Ilford Classic Pearl with dye inks but Smooth Pearl does say I can use pigment inks! ??????????????????????????????????????????? HELP!!!!!! Russ R.E.
