I love those weins but when I found a supplier for those made in china units, i went for it... at 1/3 of the price, i can afford to trash them around and have another for backup... those guys are rugged, more compact and lighter... i dun even feel their heft... :) either way whether u go wein or the generic ones... these guys are well worth their added cost... i never have to worry about tripping over the wires and have my lights come crashing again...

if you are using hassy or 120 cameras i guess you only have a pc plug... wein makes a transmitter with a pc plug... have not seen made by third party manufacters...

I've been using a Wein SSR transmitter for the last 5+ years with the built in slaves in my Elinchrome monolights. Use this on a D70, D2H, D100 and they all work flawlessly until you stand too far in
