Dave, Good point. The way I see it is that the "subject" is where a number of things might occur only once. You have to anticipate how that might happen in some general way. You see it happen - or think you do - and fire off a shot. It requires many misses to get a good result (a plus for digicams is that you might know if you got it sooner - but then you might quit too soon!).
