I thought the filename that was assigned to the image couldn't be reset so just looking at it would tell you how many shots the camera had taken during its lifetime. Even when you set it to restart numbering with each new card, when you set it back to continuous numbering it remembers the total number of shutter releases from the birth of the camera.

This all seems so complicated.  Look for simple solutions first.

And yes, Joe, get yourself a nice PayPal account but never, never, never respond to one of those emails. They just want your account info for their nefarious purposes.

Just the other day a nice lady from Tazmania paid for a print from me with her shiny new PayPal account.

Incidentally, enlarged to 12x18 I can't see my dead pixel, but a 200 pixel dust spot is really obvious at the enlargement.
