Dear colleagues: Has anyone already looked at the new announcement by Apple of its new "Aperture" software for RAW image manipulation and workflow ? Judging from information on Apple's web site it seems to be quite complete and filled with advanced features similar to those found in similar software. Apparently Apple is interested in offering its own alternative to Adobe Camera Raw/Photoshop CS2, Capture One Pro, RawShooter (only available for Windows) and SilverFast DCPro Studio. I have recently upgraded from Creative Suite 1 to Creative Suite 2. Although I have read some negative comments on CS2, I have so far enjoyed the upgrade. Bridge is definitely a great improvement over the File Browser available in CS1. It is a little slower, but on the other it runs as a stand alone application which is something I see as a benefit. It also offers several functions and viewing options that were not offered by File Browser. Camera Raw also adds some improvements and I have learned to enjoy working with its tools. Please take a look at Apple's new "Aperture" software and let me know what you think about its features and how it compares to the other existing software (avoiding being biased to software you already own). http://www.apple.com/aperture/ Thank you in advance for your help.
