4 And is Linux that stable anyway?
I have MandrakeLinux 10 installed on the other partition. It is stable as a rock.
I used Gimp on a very limited basis (did not play with monitor/printer profiles etc); my first impression was that it compares (if not exceeds) the PS software quality. I still use mandrakelinux for all other computing needs except imaging since I am so used to PS/C1Pro/Neatimage etc and do not want to waste time tackling Gimp's learning curve, but I am sure, it is pretty capable editor.
