One more thought on "Cheating" before I switched to digital I had some of my portrait work printed on Panalure plus paper which as I understand it is designed just for printing color negatives as black and white photos, so it has been done for quite some time now.

Leslie - I don't know if you are a member of NPPA or not, but they are discussing this on the e-mail list this morning. The consensus is that if the content is not changed, it's perfectly acceptable to print a color photo in black and white.
