It's actually a remarkable achievement that the list still has so many members and, after all these years, that the list-keeper still has the stamina to keep it AND the weekly gallery running! I've been a member of PF since around 1996 and the most significant benefit has been the access to the brainpower of a group of great photographers when a question arises. A less frequent but even more gratifying benefit has been when meeting one or another list members in real life, as opposed to the virtual world.

Perhaps some day someone will organize a PhotoForum event (a onventum or an exhibition?) for all members to get together and shake a real physical hand... -:))

You all know how hard it is to resist seconding a message and how we all regard it as a variant on spam, and I have a rule..... But anyway, I really want to make sure that we all read this one, because it's right, absolutely right about this list to me.

Guy and I and quite a few still here have weathered the gains and losses with appreciation and good humor - I still miss Bob Rosen, and yes, I don't miss Jan's stupidities but there were things he brought to the list that were almost worth some of his junk.

And what would we ever do without Andy!
