Thanks Graham! I kind of liked it, myself, but it was my first attempt at photographing this type of thing. I had never been in an actual gunfight before. I just did the best I could without getting myself killed. And, yes, there is the definite question about who the good guys are and the bad guys quite literally. Apparently, I witnessed what some people (the parents of the 2 victims and their lawyers) are calling the "murder" of a black American citizen. I saw things quite differently. The guys I was with were the Haitian rebels and people started firing at us. Anyway, believe it or not, I have gotten death threats because of this. Leslie, your photo, After the Gunfight, I found it to be a very profound image, in my reading of your work you caught that moment in time right after the gun fight when the soldiers are trying to get their thoughts together. From this outsider view I like the question that arise in my mind and that is are these the good guys or bad guys does it matter. I like the sense of futility that I read in the image.
