Jim Snarski Lani Nice (big) little cat. The size is not obvious and he is not a tiger. Looks nice and quiet. Nice shot.
thanks, Chris...he weighs in at 18 pounds, roughly twice the size of a *normal* domestic cat but typical for a male Maine Coon...and he is nice and he is quiet...except when it's feeding time...then he gets more vocal than Sinatra...

My only complaint is the background. The angled bits behind the ears spoil it. Those ears deserve to have separation! Overall though, nice
photo. And I don't think it's brightly lit, that flash has done a swell job
went back and took another look and I have to agree...in my delight at the colour and detail that RAW provided of my subject, I completely overlooked the background...thanks for the input....

Yeah, too much data behind for a grey tabby, Maine coon or otherwise. Glad you didn't get orange eye with the flash. Every time I've tried that it's been necessary to apply a little specific color correction there. Now if the cat had been white the bg wouldn't have been a problem, maybe it could have been even more outside the depth of field, however. A hair light would have been nice too.....
more confirmation of a flaw in the image I failed to notice...I think I'm going to have to pay more attention to backgrounds for him from now on....thanks...
appreciate the reviews....
