How does the digital noise at high ISOs compare with the grain in fast slide or print film?

It's very different. I like grain in fast film but I don't like the digital noise that you get with high ISO's. What you can do is remove the noise using Neat Image or Noise Ninja and then replace it with film grain from a program like PhotoKit.
