My friend and I have a question about printers.

What is the best professional, archival quality, black and white
    digital printer?

No doubt the answer has to be the LightJet 2000 or similar laser light technology followed by archival processing in selenium toner. It brings together the best of what is currently possible between the two worlds. The only thing that would make this process better is if they could find a way to successfully process fiber based paper.

The laser technology projects a digital image, from an original digital file or a scan from film, directly onto real photographic paper, usually something like Fuji Crystal Archive or another RC paper.

If I did color work, this is what I'd be using.

Peace!
Sidney
