Hello listmembers

Let me start by introducing myself. My name is Frímann Freyr Björnsson, a scientific photography enthusiast from Iceland.

Im looking for a good school in the field of scientific/technical photography. I have been experimenting lately with time-lapse, computer controlled time-lapse arms, streak photography etc, and Im really hoping I can make a career out of this. My enthusiasm about doubled when I saw a lecture this autumn by David Attenborough, with the most stunning time-lapse videos I have ever seen. I am really fascinated about being able to peek into the secrets of the world around us with the help of technology.

So the question is. Do you know about any good schools that cover this field or could aid me to the right direction? Since Im located in Iceland Im mainly looking for schools in Europe but USA is an option to.

So far I have found three schools:

Rochester Institute of Technology in NY sate:

A program called Imaging and Photographic Technology, which in my opinion looks really promising.

Univeristy of Westminster in London:

A program called Digital & Photographic Imaging, not as technical as the course at RIT I think.

RMIT in Melbourne Australia:

A program called

Frimman,

You need look no further than our esteemed leader of PhotoForum, professor Davidhazy of RIT. Enroll for next term and he'll let you shovel his driveway so you don't get homesick for Iceland.
