Dragging them throught the rain forests of the Olympic Penninsula, ocean beaches and desert sand and sun. Both still work perfect. The 3046 has been bent and re-straitened and can still take my 4x5. It's their older heads you want to stay clear of, but even then, they work. Bogen is like a Ford or Chevy. Good enough to get you to your destination, just not in style. And, you don't have to spend gobs of cash on them.
