There are others on this list who can speak to these issues - Tina Manley probably has thoughts about the subject of licensing for reproduction in another medium, and Les Baldwin, too. It would also be interesting to hear from them.

I'm here, Emily! I haven't kept up with the discussion because I've been traveling, but if the issue is copyright-protected images, I can assure you that I copyright everything and will pursue any use of my photos without my permission. I especially dislike the appropriation of photos for "art" that uses photographers' work in other mediums. My work is mine! and I will license the use of it for a fee, but it never belongs to anybody but me.
I'll look back through the archives to see what this discussion is about, but I wanted to get my opinion out now.
