.....I had hoped this thread would die on the vine but it looks like that isn't to be.......

But, for the record all of this should then, be applied also to profanity. Shit and Piss need to have the same support as has pubic hair in the
gallery. If one person on the list finds an image vulgar or offensive, and the majority see a lack of self esteem or something in that reaction, and
vote to allow that type image, the same then holds true if someone uses the word F***

........does it massage your ego to see these words in print????.........do you use these words around children or your clients or freely in public????.......if not, what makes it permissible to use them here????.......there is absolutely no connection between publishing a photograph done in good taste (regardless of your opinion of it) which a list member took umbrage at and being a potty mouth in print.......this forum is distributed world wide and almost all of the posts on it reflect the sense of collegial respect we were asked to adhere to when we signed on.......almost all of them are free from profanities as requested by the list master.......except for you.......try and remember there are many people on this list with very different values than yours.......it doesn't reflect well on any of us when someone like you flaunts the guidelines.......

How can one have a rule the allows the potential of members to be offended on one hand but not the other? Just seems like a double standard to me

........I don't recall any such *rule* in the guidelines........being offended is vastly different from being offensive.......your argument for the use of profanity is specious at best.......there is no double standard here........just a plea for some civility........you might try that next time you're tempted to post profanities to make your point.......perhaps a little of your own advice, to take care, might be worth your consideration........
