To begin with, you don't want to do any of that until you've burned a
CD with the original images as TIFFs. JPEG is a lossy compression
and every time you open and reclose an image in JPEG compression you
lose data. It's really obvious. Try it at 300% enlargment before
and after and compare.
If you're looking for display prints for the bulletin board outside
the theatre, you'll need unadulterated files to start from. If
you're going to be supplying the actors digital files from which they
can get promotional 8x10s again you'll need to have the original
files uncontaminated by jpegging.
Once you've got them all pulled together as TIFFs then you can set up
an action in Photoshop to JPEG them to your specifications and store
them in the folder you choose on your hard disc. Or a set up actions
for different faces into different folders. Then you can burn the
folder to the CD for them.
Jpegging when you come down to it, is really only good for sharing
pix and putting on the web. After that, avoid it like the plague.
