I think the questioner was referring to analog printing via a "Photo Shop" (ie. a lab), not the program Photoshop. I think a 35mm negative can be enlarged up to about 25x, in other words , a 24" x 36" print, perhaps a bit larger. And I guess the same magnification would apply to larger formats as well. On the other hand, a negative made from a photo would not be expected to give you the same degree of "enlargability", in fact, I doubt that you can enlarge much beyond the size of the print from which the negative was made. dan c.
