does anyone have any experience with this printer? i'm contemplating purchasing it... since it recently dropped in price. i looked at a sample photo print out, which was only ok.. but looking at the other print samples, i started to wonder what the quality of the original photo/scan was.
i'll actually only be using it to print out complicated graphics which may include photo components.. using matte archival paper...
but i just wanted to see if anyone could offer some advice.

The C82 is a great general purpose "office" printer and gives excellent graphic and photo results on uncoated water color paper and card stock. This year all my cards will be printed on it.

C82 uses "DuraBrite" pigmented inks and has individual cartridges fore each color. Prints on Epson heavy matte paper will last for over 50 years. The inks are water resistant to the point of the paper disintegrating before the ink runs.

Prints on gloss paper are not the best because the ink doesn't adhere as well to the smooth surface. Best results on glossy paper results from using highest resolution 5760X1440 dpi.

All in all, it is a pretty cool printer for US$130.00 including shipping. Check <pricewatch.com>
