That is not quite correct. It may be what "experts in the field" will tell
you but the truth is, given time or multiple sessions, an experienced
operator can usually convince an average subject to do just about anything.
Do you really think a grown man could WANT to run around a stage flapping
his arms and sounding like a chicken in front of a laughing audience? That
is not just an old movie cliche... it happened on enough vaudeville stages
to _become_ a cliche.

As a non-clinician, my prescription for breaking the ice is three shots of
Southern Comfort and a chest rub. Cheaper, quicker and lots more fun than
hypnosis or Xanax.
