Folks seem to have strange views about hypnotism. But experts in the field will tell you that you CANNOT make anyone do anything they do not want to do. I suspect that if hypnosis is used in this type of setting, it is used only to allow someone to relax who has previously agreed to pose. I have a friend who regularly poses for figure study classes. She does not mind doing it (in fact she says it is "exhilarating"), but she cannot do it without medication for stage fright. Hypnosis is perhaps the non-clinician's Xanax. peace, rand
