Because something inside you says "whoops, gotta go get the camera and try to get a shot of that".

No different from the person whose something inside says "oooh. Look at that neat sheer rock face. I gotta go up there", or "The wind is howling out here, let's go see if we can keep from turning the boat over", or "I wonder what the river looks like from up in the sky. Gotta go up and take a look", or "what's that noise? A bassoon? I gotta learn to do that!".

It comes from the heart, spirit, impulse, compulsion - whatever you call it. Some think you've got to be "called" to it.

If you're feeling called, keep shooting. If you're not, stop for a while and see if it nags you.
