In my view, there are too many personal photography websites on the web for an ordinary user to pay to look at pictures.
See, for example: http://www.photoblogs.org
Some of the sites are questionable buy many are exceptional. The good ones offer prints for sale, i.e. http://noahgrey.com/ . Others have paypal tipjars.
You may want to consider such an alternative.
