Robert,

>>>>>>>ART= Any Realization Translated

Any time someone is struck by something to create a tangible translation
of that realization, it is art.

Simply realizing that a sunset is beautiful is not art.
A photo of it is.
A poem about it is.
A painting of it is.
So is a song about it.

Your camera accidently firing does not create art.
The realization that these random firings are creating images that defy
artistic catagorization and collecting them is.<<<<<<<

I enjoy this "Realization Translated" considering it a foundation of the
world in which we work as photographers. "Camera Notes" comes to mind.

I also would like to add a question, Should some form of discipline be
required? Are you an artist simply because you wrote a song about a sunset?
Or, does the writing of a song require formal construct that focuses the
viewer or listener? I can neither sing, nor write music, but if I do am I an
artist?

Take care,
