You're right "S.Ross".

Lets see what happened...

"S.Ross". accidentally erred and sent an attachment to the list.

I got up on the wrong side of the bed and said:
> Do some people just not get it that you don't send attachments to this
> mailing list?

"S.Ross". responded to me:
> Have you ever made a mistake Bob?

I respond to "S.Ross":
> I make many mistakes.

>From there:
    Colette called me uncivilized.
Qkano said my parents made a mistake in giving birth to me.
    "S.Ross" called me an asshole.
Luis says it's fun "kickballing Bob Blakely" and that I deserve it.
Luis further accuses me of *torturing* small animals, of not being a
respectable sportsman.
Luis continued by alluding to the size of my penis.

This is the way it has been for the more than two years I've subscribed to
this list. It's been so from my first one sentence post wherein I asked if
this was the norm for this list. Some other poor fellow was being kicked
around. Many assured me that it was not, but I continued to watch the other
fellow kickballed and received the same as well. This is like high school.
There is the "in crowd", the "out crowd" for the in crowd to kick, and the
vast, seldom heard from. Fortunately, an occasional tidbit of useful
information comes through to make it worthwhile.
-------------------------------------
I sometimes assess specific ideas harshly (and am occasionally wrong).
I sometimes make harsh remarks concerning *specific* behaviors. (and am
occasionally wrong).

I have never:
Judged anyone's general suitability for society.
    Called anyone a name.
Claimed that their parents should not have given birth to them.
Described denigrating someone as "fun". And justified it by saying they
deserve it.
Accused anyone of being unrespectable in any endeavor.
    Attacked anyone's physical features.
Used any other form of personal shaming in an argument.

Perhaps when I become "civilized" I too will learn to do these things easily
and routinely.

Regards,
Bob...
