That just bypasses the rpm system.  I think Nidhi would be better off
getting a current rpm and upgrading.

Assuming Fedora 12, you can get 1.41 rpms at OBS, but those are not
vetted by anyone in particular.

If you're really nervous about someone adding some malicious code or
just not doing a good job of packaging the rpm, you can create your
own OBS repo and upload a fresh tarball and grab the fedora patches
and specfile from the above users repo.  The patches and specfile
should be short enough that you can inspect them yourself to insure
nothing malicious is happening.

(Note, OBS has a new interface and it no longer requires login before
allowing you to grab patches, spec files, etc.)
