(having been totally immersed in a non-kernel project for the last while, i'm finally getting back to kernel stuff. much catching up to do, i see.) what is the current state of in-kernel support for kgdb? in a recent piece which i will not identify, i read: "Complete support for KGDB is still not in the mainline kernel.org kernel. You need to port KGDB to your chosen target or obtain an embedded Linux distribution for your chosen architecture and platform that contains KGDB support. Most commercial embedded Linux distributions available today support KGDB." it seems that the above conflates two issues -- the in-kernel support, and the ability to get your hands on the appropriate cross-compiled version of kgdb. would someone like to clarify the above? mulyadi? :-) rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
