Ya I tried this but no result :(When I try to scan the image I get the following message
"Nov 26 10:16:20 kousik-desktop kernel: [61902.573885] usb 2-1: usbfs: process 24814 (scanimage) did not claim interface 0 before use"
I also googled it but don't get any proper solution.

maybe the root cause is the same with your issue.
