Aha, now we are making progress. :)

Yes, the kernel panic would be helpful. Also helpful, perhaps more-so,
would be some context -- a few of the lines immediately before the panic
happens. (Sometimes these are more useful than the full panic
information itself..)

You can make the process easier if you can use a serial console to
report all messages a terminal on a second computer -- then you can use
cut and paste, rather than writing down all the information by hand. :)
