When trying to get technical problems solved, please remember the
following formula:

(1) What you did
(2) What you expected to happen
(3) What actually happened.

"Getting an error" is _very_ vague. There are probably thousands of
error messages you could receive when compiling and using a kernel. :)

I do not think k6-2 counts as an i586. I would suspect a 486 is more
likely.

"Installed the module" ? Did you remember to configure lilo (and re-run
lilo?)

I haven't heard of any problems. I've used 2.4 with a k6-2 before,
but not 2.4.19.  (Sorry, I can't help test, that machine is currently
running another operating system.) Just try 386 or 486.
