Tell me how to do it easily while you're at the gym, on an elliptical, and you want to change what you're listening to.

There are times to think and be uber-geek and times when the technology is a tool and nothing else.

Hi Hal:

I'm not sure if what I'm telling you will help... I mean to edit a playlist that will then play with mplayer (which plays flac files).

The command is:
$ mplayer -playlist list.m3u

In case you want to play it choosing songs randomly:
$ mplayer -playlist list.m3u -shuffle

If you don't want to play it from xterm there are ways to run it from graphical mode. (In N770 there's load-applet-run that does it... in N8XX I think there's a launcher that does the job...)

Besides, if you don't know how to manually edit a playlist file I can tell you how to do it, or even send you a script to do it.
