Where would it come from? Possibilities include:

   * ~/.tablet-encoderc [lang=en,eng,...]
   * $LANG (but this wouldn't help with mapping en -> eng)
   * $TABLET_ENCODE_LANG = en,eng,...

Luca, does VDR provide the languages through to mencoder, so that
-alang ... works as well as -aid ...?

(BTW, the svn version of tablet-encode now supports VDR recordings properly :-))
