hmmm strange... when I type in the xterm 'ping' I get back:
sh: ping not found

'ping' is just a symbolic link to the busybox.

When I type 'busybox' at command line I get

 Currently defined functions:
[, ash, basename, busybox, cat, chgrp, chmod, chown,
chroot, chvt, clear, cmp, cp, cut, date, dd, df, dirname,

There is NO ping on the list. Do I have to recompile busybox to include ping
?
[which will require to create a ARM/meamo SDK environment.. a lot of work..
especially for newbie like me]

Or, is there a simples solution to get ping.

There is a bug for this in the

Thanks for the link. I've added myself to the CC list.

Also, Patrik Flykt (@Nokia) said "Yesterday we finally received two

I hope he (or they) at Nokia will find a solution or, perhaps, a simpler
(read nicer)
workaround soon.
Why I am saying this ?
Because 3 of my co-workers are impressed with 770 and they want to order it.
I do not want them to be disappointed because of such a basic bug(s).

Regards

Igor
